Solving some of the world’s great Engineering problems is going to be at the heart of the UTC’s development over the next few years. Last week we were thrilled to work with Nigel Moore from Young Engineers who posed our students, parents and staff a very difficult and important challenge – how to transport water from ground level to height with as little human effort as possible !

Using a variety of materials our participants demonstrated incredible skill and ingenuity in rising to the challenge.

It was a real privilege to see so many of our students meeting and collaborating together. The ideas generated and the water transportation systems created were first class. Even more important was the genuine buzz and excitement – all credit to Nigel for his work in stimulating our thinking. A pleasure to see our young people in action and a very proud moment for our parents and staff !
