Crewe UTC is a Good school.

Overall Effectiveness – Good
Leadership and Management – Good
Teaching & Learning – Good
Personal Development, Welfare & Behaviour – Good
Outcomes – Good
Quality of 16-19 Programmes – Good

It is unusual for a new school, especially one with a very different ethos and stance on education, to achieve ‘Good’ across all categories in its first inspection.

This UTC achievement at Crewe demonstrates that the core education that we offer as a school and Sixth Form is of high quality even though our main focus is on helping our students find and prepare for their future careers.

We are continuing our journey to outstanding after a fantastic start.

There are many aspects of our work – personal development, safeguarding, attendance, employability skills, employer links and attitude to learning that we believe are already outstanding and were recognised by inspectors as strong.

The sponsors, governors, staff, students and employer partners are already making plans to develop Crewe UTC to become an outstanding school overall and in all areas within the next three years and to demonstrate this at the next OFSTED inspection.
