The Department for Education has launched a new helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:
Phone: 0800 046 8687 – Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
No school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless advised to do by Public Health England.
The best way to tackle the challenge posed by Coronavirus is by following public health authorities’ advice, for example on hand washing, and reducing the impact and spread of misinformation by relying on information from trusted sources, such as that on www.nhs.uk and gov.uk

Home Learning Information
If the school needs to close as per government instruction then Crewe Engineering and Design UTC will ensure that there is as little disruption as possible to the education of our students.
Our staff have prepared some set work in both paper and electronic form for your child to complete. Their lessons will continue at the normal timetables time for the remainder of the term.
Students will be expected to complete the work that has been set and email the teachers any complete work and or questions about the subject.
There will be regular check ins and if we haven’t heard from your son or daughter or their work has not been completed regularly a member of our Senior Leadership Team will be in touch to check work is being completed.
To support parents/carers and students through this time we have prepared Year Group Guides to outline what work is expected to be carried out whilst at home.
