What Air Products Can Offer UTC Students

At Air Products, we recognise the importance to inspire and support Engineering students to help prepare them for their career in industry. Many of our engineers are based in our UK head office in Crewe and we are very excited about the opportunity to work with the Crewe Engineering & Design UTC, sharing our knowledge, arranging visits and setting hands-on projects based on real engineering scenarios.

Few companies can offer as much engineering variety as we can. Our customers include a wide range of industries, including agriculture, construction, chemical processing and petrochemical, electronics, food/beverage, leisure, medical, metals and more. Our engineering capabilities have made us one of the leaders in our field. Students can benefit from this expertise and explore a range of plant types and sizes which we design, build and maintain. We also have several operational locations in close proximity to Crewe.

The Importance of Females in Engineering

A career in engineering provides a varied and interesting career for bright, innovative and passionate males and females alike. However, women are under-represented in engineering fields – according to research from the trade body, Engineering UK only, 8.7% of the engineers in the UK are female. Here at Air Products we are committed to having an equal representation of women engineers at all levels.

Why Crewe Engineering & Design UTC Is Important to Air Products

It is important to Air Products that we support the Crewe Engineering & Design UTC as community initiatives are very important to us, as we have a presence in Crewe and employee many people from the local area it will be a great opportunity to help develop and grow our local engineering expertise of the future. This new concept of education is a perfect example of innovation and creativity which we encourage and champion and we are very proud to be a partner.
